1986 Mercury thruster trolling motor
I have a 1986 Mercury Thruster that I need to change the shaft bearing on ( Part # 72388 ). The problem is that I can't get the roll pin ( Part # 72250 ) out. I've tried everything. It looks like an allen screw or bolt. I have used penetrating oil for a week now, heated it with a torch, and even tapped it with a hammer to try and break it free. Does anyone know if this roll pin actual could be an allen bolt or is it actually a pin? Should I drill it out or will it get messed up beyond repair? Someone help please!
