Hi, I'm working on a 3.3 Merc ser#OD931968. After a full power run for approx8 minutes to the duck blind, I then shut it down and could not restart it. After a few pulls trying to restart, raw gas was noted coming from the exhaust area. Flooded badly I suppose. I've since opened the carb up expecting to find debris in the float/needle valve/seat area, but the area is spotless.
I haven't got it running since this problem started. All the carb's components seem Ok, no gunk or debris. Can a float change buoyancy? Also what is the setting/demension it should be at.
The motor has good spark and the plug is in good shape too. I'm not sure where to go from here............help!!!
