I have a 1994 75 h.p mercury tracker outboard that is a nightmars to start cold. the only way to get it to go is to pull the spark plugs and pour some fuel into the cylinders a few time. When it warms up it runs like a champion. Is the fuel somehow draining out of the float bowls and running back into the tank?? maybe a vaccum leak?? would appreciate some advice. Thank you.

Is that a Force motor or a Mercury motor? Tracker used either. I assume you're pushing the key in to choke it? There's no automatic choke feature, push and it's choked - let go and it's not. Is this a new problem? Could be a problem with the primer. New boat to you? They take some getting used to. You're pumping the primer bulb, right? You need to do that anytime the motor is cold. It's more of a matter of gas in the carb evaporating out than draining back into the tank.
