1963 Mercury 650

I need to know if the Mercury repair manual for the 1965-1989 is applicable to the 1963 650 outboard. My current issue is in dropping the foot. I can't tell how the anode is attached, and I don't want to break it. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure, I don't have any information on motors past 1968. The trim tab is usually held on by a allen head bolt inside the hole above trim tab.
