Mercury 9.9 drive shaft conversion

Have a Mercury 9.9 4 stroke extra long shaft that I need to shorten to a long shaft. Is the extra long shaft a 2 piece shaft that can be shortened or a one piece shaft? Thanks

It's a one piece shaft, would also have to replace shift shaft, water tube and if it doesn't have a drive shaft housing extension that can be removed then would need to replace drive shaft housing.
