My Verado 250's are losing oil somewhere. There is no apparent smoke, or sheen on the water under the motors. (The boat is kept in a covered horizontal lift, out of the water)
My local mechanic and the Mercury field rep have checked everything, and can only come up with the leak must be coming from the internal seal in the Supercharger. I'm told the seal can not be replaced, and the entire Supercharger must be changed. The leak is in both engines. The engines are 2005 with 1150 hours on each.
First, has anyone had an oil leak like this, that can not be located? Is it possible the leak is coming from the Supercharger?
Thanks,
Glenn Clements
