My 2007 60 HP, 4-stroke Mariner EFI is not running as it should. I bought it from an auction not knowing the condition of the engine. It had been stored for a couple of years before I bought it
When I fitted the engine to the boat, I made a mistake by mismatching the positive and negative connections from the engine to the battery. This made some fuses blow and I had to replace the rectifier. There was no melted wires or smell from the engine at that point.
The engine is running rough at idle, shaking its head and has not got full power, when I take it to the harbour.
I have made the following:
New oil on engine and gearbox
New oil filter on engine
New gasoline filter on engine
New sparkplugs
Injectors tested and ultra sonic cleaned (was ok)
VST cleaned about 4 times
Low pressure gasoline pump replaced to new
New rectifier
New battery
Check of impeller, was ok
But it didnt solve the problem
A compressiontest was showing 205-210 psi on all 4 cylinders
The local Marine Workshop connected their testcomputer to the engine, but found no faults.
What could possible be wrong?
