Mercury 115 HP

I just took off my lower unit to replace the water pump and there is a 1/8" tube that I had to unhook. I tracked it down and found it all rolled up and not hooked to anything. My question is where should if go and what is it? Thanks for any advice.

It's the speedometer hose for use if have a speedometer installed in boat.
