2007 small block (209cc) 9.9 manual start ...NO START Condition..compression both cylinders 120 psi... new spark plugs ... spark jumps 1/4 inch gap on spark tester.... fuel system seams to be ok ... spraying starting fluid into the carburetor still no start ... sprayed into intake manifold and cylinder heads, still no start. .. camshaft and crank shaft are lined up as per service manual ....SO !!! I am stumped , but thinking that possibly an ignition timing problem caused by the CDI (CPU) module.... ANYONE CARE TO WEIGH IN ON THIS..??? COULD I HAVE SPARK WITH A BAD CDI ??? ALSO DISCONNECTED THE BLACK/YELLOW WIRE FROM THE BROWN OF THE CDI TO BYPASS KILL SWITCHES. I CHECKED THE 2 WIRES COMING FROM THE STATOR FOR RESISTANCE AND THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR.. i BELIEVE THE RESISTANCE IS A GOOD VALUE ALTHOUGH I COULD NOT FIND THE SPECS FOR TESTING THESE COMPONENTS ANYWHERE.
