Mercury 150hp drama
Hi, i have a brand new 150hp merc in EAST TIMOR. remote place to say the least and as such no warranty seems to hold. Having said that i have a drama with my engine....
we had to replace the fuel pump, all fuel filter and water separators due to bad fuel (water) which rusted out these parts. Have sorted fuel now (although it is low in octane and we need to add booster - seem new plugs go black after 5 minutes use)....
yet the main issue now is that after around 40min cruising the fuel supply seems to be cut short and the engine sputters... for a minute... recovers and goes again.
Now we have removed the tanks, fuel lines and replaced all filters ect yet this still happens now. We are filtering the fuel now so it is clean and no water yet cannot sort this problem out.
Will replacing the fuel injectors be the next step? being in a remote area we do not have any real mercury mechanics or computers to complete a proper check.
Any help would be appreciated
