Hi team,
I’m just about to replace the tilt trim motor on my 2006 90HP Optimax. The cylinder is bearing a serious amount of rust and looks as though it is about to blow out!! :O (has anyone else seen this?)
Not sure how it has gone unnoticed, none the less it’s about to be replaced (part no: 893907A02)
Is there anything I need to know before replacing it? It would be great to not have to remove the outboard to replace the part, it looks as though this is possible or am I missing something?
Also is there a difference between genuine and aftermarket parts? There is a considerable price difference..
Any help is greatly appreciated!
