Stator Question

I have a mercury mariner 100hp serial # OB309... that I recently purchased. It has some problems I am currently working on. The stator on the motor is 174-5454k1, however, this shows to be stator for 40-85hp, are they inter-changable with the 398-8778a17 that the manual shows? any help is appreciated.

174- is probably an aftermarket part number, stator has been changed with an aftermarket part.

I guess I knew that this is an aftermarket part since it appears to be the wrong aftermarket part, My Question is wheather it is inter-changable with the correct aftermarket part. Thanks for your help.
