Hello everyone,
I have a very low use 1976 Mercury merc 200 20 HP outboard pull start engine. I would like to convert it to a key start. Is that possible?
I have been searching online for info and there seems to be some confusion. It seems possible, but some say the current flywheel is good, other say it must be changed for example.
My question is, is the kit, aftermarket or original still available? What do I need to do it? What specific parts do I need? Will it charge the battery or not?
Serial number is 4375874 Model 1200206 (merc 200 20 hp)
I also have a functional mercontol throttle that has a spot for the key assembly.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
