I have a 1985 18xd hp short shaft mint shape (minus not running)
compression is 126lbs each, spark is hot/strong each, new fuel tank, lines primer bulb,fuel inlet port on motor and filter and lines
I rebuilt carb completely primer pump, fuel pump diaphragm, mixer gaskets, intake gasket, low idle jet, float and set to 1" as spec says
ok all that being said it starts runs 15-20 seconds dies out as if it ran out of gas have to reprime ball and choke the motor pull 10 times then gets up and going runs 5 minutes perfectly and then dies the same way
im stumped at this point pulled carb back apart a few times and all is good but it sure seems that's the issue anybody got any ideas ?
