I have looked at my outboard-the spark coil etc is on the outside of the flywheel like on Briggs & Stratten motors-good idea. I think if I buy a lighting coil it will go under the flywheel.
Can't get a lot of sense out of the dealers-perhaps they don't know. Can I buy a lighting coil by itself or do I have to buy a kit with rectifier and regulator etc?
It is a simple matter to rectify the AC with a bridge rectifier and I have a regulator from a solar system here unused.
Can I get a lighting coil rather than a full kit of parts incl rectifier and regulator?
