How difficult is it to convert a 4HP 4 stroke Mercury outboard to a 6 HP engine?
I would think carby jets need changing and perhaps a spacer in the head gasket needs removing but is there more to it than that?
They are basically the same engine but looks can be deceiving.
If there is too much to it I will abandon the idea however it shouldn't be too hard.
I understand the engine is a Tohatsu and outboard manufacturers rebadge this engine to suit.
