2003 225 optimax 4 beep alarm

I have the 4 beep alarm when key is turned on and @ 2 min intervals ,
tested the oil level sensor with a multimeter for resistance , open circuit both in the tank and out of the tank , put a jumper in plug, the alarm stopped ,
ordered a new sensor and installed it , alarm returned , the new sensor had a different part number , old part #84-856156A4 , new part # 87- 856156T04
tested the new part , open circuit both in the tank and out of the tank
( even tested it submerged in oil - still open circuit ) I have ordered the part again thinking I was shipped a defective part or the wrong part , I also have the Smart craft monitor installed version 2.01 , monitor does show a low oil reserve warning , and also a oil pump fault warning without the alarm or reduction in rpms ,and O oil pressure , could it be the alarm its self malfunctioning , only one beep when the key is turned on.

I spoke with Mercury , it turns out that the 2003 Optimax onboard Oil Tank has a Internal float w/ magnet which activates the sensor , I ordered a new tank and its currently in route , I will update my update when it arives and i have it installed ,

I installed the oil tank today and all works , no more 4 beep alarm and the smart craft monitor no longer has either warning , however the monitor still does not show any oil pressure , not sure if my motor actually monitors oil pressure this feature may be for a 4 stroke motor , i plan on taking it out for a test run in a few days , If their is a problem i will update again.
