I posted a question about converting my merc outboard from tiller to remote 3 weeks ago and haven't seen a response. On looking further, the expert with the answers hasn't posted a message here since over 2 months ago.

Seems to me that the administrator/expert should update their sticky about responding within a few days if they aren't going to do that anymore.

what are you trying to convert "HP rating" I just posted yesterday and came across yours and was wondering the same thing. I have a 40 tiller that I want to convert just don't know where to start other than removing the tiller and purchasing a steering bracket and steering arm. I would like to know if my current harness will match up...
current 25 Mariner, future 40 Mercury "hopefully"
