I have previously posted and had no response. Please help with specific questions. What pressure do I need for an electric fuel pump for this engine? Do you recommend "in line" or "canister?" Do you recommend a maker and model? I previously purchased a replacement mechanical fuel pump. It is not working and the only possibilities I can imagine are either 1/ a bad replacement pump (unlikely) or 2/ a worn out or broken cam lobe. Do you have any other suggestion before I go to the electric? The fuel lines are clear and there is fuel in the tank. Thank you very much.

I had a 1993 4.3 Merc. It had an electric fuel pump from the factory. Should work for you. But you might have fuel supply issues. Try a separate 5 gal. tank hooked up to your fuel pump.
