Hi
I have a 1986 classic 50 that needs the upper mounts replaced. When I pulled the power head to gain access to them I noticed I could not turn the drive shaft. The lower unit is still on. No matter what gear it's in even neutral I can't turn the drive shaft by hand. I can turn the prop shaft in neutral and when it's in forward I can turn it and hear the clicking but can't turn it and get the drive shaft to rotate. I lowered the power head back down and could turn the flywheel and prop shaft rotates normal. Before pulling the power head all was fine motor was running and gears shifted normal. Why can't that driveshaft be turned with powerhead removed yet seems to turn fine with power head on? Is this normal? Any info would be greatly appreciated
