I have a Mercury 2 stroke 8 HP trolling motor. When trouble shooting to see why it won't run without tons of throttle, I found Fuel leaking from a little hole on the carburator diaphram. I tried to tighten the 4 screws on the cover plate, but the thing still leaks fuel. Two questions: 1.) Is this normal for the little hole to leak fuel? 2.) Would this leaking fuel/diaphram cause problems with the operation of the motor? Anything will help, thanks.
