9.8 lower unit

I posted on here about 3 weeks ago looking for a 6 spline prop for a 9.8 hp mercury. I am guessing there are none in the world and was wondering if lower units with an 8 spline prop shaft would interchange with the lower unit with a 6 spline prop shaft. Does anyone know?

I found a prop, and of all places in a salvage yard. You never know what you might find.
