i just bought a mercury 5 horse 2 stroke motor has the tank inside and is a long shaft i would like to know the year on it but all i have is a serial number on it i can give that but thats all i have the number is od921145 made in japan and theres a number on the bottem of that one thats at the very bottom it is 394 thats the only numbers on the engine if i need parts i would like to know the year ..if posible please help ...thank you
