Mercury 2.5hp 4stroke conversion to 3.5hp?

I have a 2011 2.5hp merc is the only difference between it and the 3.5hp the carb? If not does anyone know what the difference is?all the specs for these two engines seem to be the same with the exception being the carb part numbers. Thanks to anyone who can help! Popsss
