efi 115 - thermostat replacement

Running efi 115 on trailer to test before launching. Either no cooling water and overheating alarm or good water flow and engine not reaching operating temperature. Trying to remove thermostat. Not able to open thermostat housing. Any tips or guidance?

Not sure what model motor you have. If you are having trouble getting bolts out of housing try using heat to loosen them up.
