I have a 1982 Mercury 9.8 that looses prime on bulb. I have replaced fuel tank, bulb, all fuel lines, carb, and vacuum lines, but continues to lose prime. Local dealer says it could be fuel pump but diagram does not show one. What else could I do or where is fuel pump located?

The fuel pump is probably built into the carb, check the quick disconnect for leaks allowing air into the line.
