Received a new nut for port side tilt tube ,but it seems there is something else to hold the steering shaft snug in the tube so it wont flop up and down,what would that be? It was real snug when it was new!

The teleflex cable threads onto tube until tight, do you have have enough threads on tube for cable nut to tighten completely, if not loosen nut on other side of tube.

Yes that end is fine,cable theads on fine, its the other end that Iam trying to find out about!

upon further investigation it seems to be ride guide steering system that Ihave if that makes a difference!

No it still fits in tube in same way.
