  • 1999 225 efi

    I have a 225 efi that has a water problem I can't get more than 8 psi of water pressure I'm told it should have around 25 psi I've changed all the water pump parts . Sn 0G840185 it's a 3L any ideas I got it about a year ago the foot has 4 holes in the end of the gear case I'm not sure if it's the rite foot for the year mod I may be buying the wrong pump parts any ideas ???

    Check poppet valve and diaphram.

      It's all been replaced I'm thinking I have the wrong wear plate under the pump

        For grins check the accuracy of the gauge. If you live in a freezing zone water in the gauge will mess up the inner works. Or debris can do it also.

          Thanks for the reply I have checked the gauge it's close I did find a leak in the tubing I haven't had a chance to run it this week
