Marriner 50hp 2/ 3cyl 1990

I have a Mercury/Marriner 50hp, serial no 09592801. 1990 3 Cyl 2/ electric start.
The stator has gone and I need a replacement, what part numbers will work with my outboard?
I have been offered a newer type with a longer lume and bullet type connectors, will this work?
