Hey guys just joined the forum & have had a bit of a read around. some good stuff on here..
Im in Aus and have a problem with my ecu. I tried to start the motor with the kill switch in the 'off' position. It Came up with a horn fault and has the constant beep of the horn.
Have spoken to all mercury mechanics in town & had it on the diagnostic machine, they all say the same thing, ecu needs replacing.
The mechanic has disconnected my horn so i can use the boat over xmas. But will need to get the thing running properly again soon, bit unsafe without the warning horn i think.
Here in Aus i get slugged bout $3000 for the ecu i need.. ridiculous. so ive tried looking at some online stores & getting one shipped over from the US but having a bit of trouble..
Can you guys please recommend a good place for parts, even an outboard wreckers etc. Any advice would be great
