Does anyone know where I can find a starter for a 1983 7.5 Mercury original part # 50-78011. I know must places say this part is no longer available.

Maybe you can have your starter rebuilt? Look at www.usautoelectric.com/starter or give them a call at 866-415-6770. They sell a starter end cap with brushes for $39.95 for your (50-78011) Mercury starter. Hope this helps and GOD be with you. Papa Ron
