Recently got this motor and it runs okay but not quite right.
I cleaned the carbs and that got it running but when I tried to set the idle mixture screws, I noticed they were at 3 1/2 turns out. i was expecting 1 1/2 based on other motors. But sure enough they needed to be there in order to idle okay. It still doesn't idle very smoothly.
I am going to replace the fuel filter and the pump diaphragm - think this might make a difference?
