hi folks i had this motor given to me when i sold my old motor and here goes my problem! the owner told me its a 1972 mercruiser 500 red band now serial number is 3016303 how ever i can not find parts information on the web regarding this serial number!
the motor runs excellent how ever it does not pump water i will include a photo of the crack in the gearbox housing and i seek any kind of help if this is the reason it does not pump water, also inspecting closely around the prop milky oil leaks are visible !
do i need to replace the gearbox housing?
