  • 2007 90 HP EFI battery not charging

In replacing the battery, I connected the cables backwards, discovered what I did and put them on correctly. Now the motor runs OK, but my helm volt meter shows the battery is not charging. The fuses are all OK, and the fused link looks to be OK. I have looked all over the motor to find the rectifier and or the voltage regulator, but am unable to locate them. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You didn't post serial number but if it's a four stroke model then regulator is inside alternator.

        Problem Solved

Turns out that the fused link had been blown. Replace it and now all is well.
