Can't Read serial number to order parts.

I have a 1994 25 hp Mercury tracker motor that is electric and pull start. The serial number is faded out. I need it to order a water pump assembly kit and a seal kit. Any ideas where to get the serial number other than the name plate on the housing .

Usually there's a serial number on the bracket mount - and also on the engine itself.

Thanks, however the engine bracket serial sticker is the one that is faded. I saw a lot of different numbers on engine parts . I just don't know where to look on engine for the right number.

If has one on engine block it will be a round aluminum plug with serial number stamped in it, not all had it.
