Trouble with my Motorguide Greatwhite

I bought a new head assembly for my Motorguide Varimax Great White 12V 55lb trolling motor, after I broke the original head assembly. I installed the new head assembly, really only 2 connections, the positive and negative directly into the head assembly and connecting the wire to the new plug, really very simple. Plugged it back into the boat and nothing. Any clue on what could be wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TT

We don't work on trolling motors but probably check voltage to trolling motor and make sure it's not a blown fuse.
