I'm curious as to the recommended way to use the tilt/trim when an engine is in the full up position and moored on the water.
Is it OK to just leave in the Up position indefinitely or should it be lowered on the Stop Pin for longevity, of the unit.
I'm assuming it is held up with hydraulic pressure--and as the seals wear the pressure will be lost and the engine will leak downward eventually.
I previously had a Johnson that would slowly bleed down-even after replacing all internal components.
Thanks for your thoughts.
