Thrust hub removal 25hp

I am trying to remove the propeller from a 25hp Merc outboard. I can get the propeller nut of, but the thrust hub I can't budge. I am turning it clockwise as that's how most of these thrust hubs are engineered.

I don't want to damage it with excessive force, but I do need to get it off.

Any tips or methods for this. Right now I am using a 1 1/8" socket with a bar and I have even tried hammering on the bar to budge the nut, but no movement.

The prop hub is splined, once nut is off prop pulls off of prop shaft.
