I have a 2006 9.9 4 stroke Mercury Ser# OR147916 and have had carburetor problems every spring that requires a tuneup and I have always winterized it.
I have been told that the only way to remedy this is to buy a new carb.. I am concerned that I may still have the same problem. I have recently talked with
a different mechanic and he told me that this has been a major problem with
this motor and I should check this out for solutions.
