Convert tiller steered 50hp EFI to remote control

Presently I have a 1998 Mercury 50HP 4 stroke. Would I be able to use its linkages, control box etc to convert a 2003 50HP EFI tiller steered motor to remote control?

Would need a 880093A 2 Remote conversion kit
But rest of parts should work.
