5 hp merc lower unit overhaul

I have just drained lower unit oil to replace with fresh oil. No oil came out all water,what kind of repairs will i be in for. Last year i replaced the water pump that shouldn't have anything to do with it. I bought this motor brand new and have never used in salt water. This lower unit is serviced every season and was used for one week on river fishing trip. Can you help me

Sounds like you need to change all your lower unit seals and O-rings. As long as no damage was done, should not require any further repair.
