Tilt retrofit on a Merc 650

I have a 1964 model 650 and would like to retrofit a tilt (and trim?) unit. Anybody in the forum have experiences with a project like this and can give some recommendations on parts that will fit?

I have no experience with the conversion, however it would be cheaper, easier and fast to purchase the aftermarket PTT systems.
