Trying to get my motor to start on a 99 nitro nx882, its a 150hp motor. Solenoid doesnt appear to be wired right, its been sitting for awhile and has been messed with by others before me. I have the large black /red wire on the top post and the large black/yellow wire on bottom post going to starter. My question is there is another wire on that bottom post, should it be there? Its a bundle of smaller wires all under blck insulation. It seems that it goes around to rear of motor and up into what appears to be relays. This is my first boat by the way so i dont know much about it.

The bundle of small wires should go to the large wire that comes from the battery. One side of the solenoid should only have the starter wire, nothing else.Regards
