200 dfi V6 saltwater '97 alarm, limp mode?

what a mess, i am a good general mechanic, neighbor, had me swap out throttle controls, ok all went well, strbrd is fine, port will only idle, and alarm beep beep. he thinks i did something,,and pissy,, could of i burnt up ign module by reversing neutral safty switch? if i did why one motor and not the other, other wise it could be oil,tps,. all kinds of ,, it ran fine before the swap. on the beach kicking sand,,T

Check oil level in engine oil tank, should be full. Check battery cables are clean and tight.

done all of that tomarrow i am swapping sensor from water seperator, from port engine then tps then ign module .. what do think?

throttle linkage was not allowing tps to trip,,, extended half mm and varooom
