I just bought a 25 hp. mercury off of my uncle the serial # is 09684448 . can anyone tell me what year it is? The boat and trailer that was with it are both 1989. Thank you John
I finally found out on the Mercury web page that I have a pre 1980 motor. These motors do not have a letter in front of the serial numbers like the post 1980 motors do. All numbers pre 1980.
