Key Switch Assembly

Hi,

I have a 2002 Optimax 225XL. Serial # OT565843. I want to change out the key switch assembly and I bought part # 87-88107A10. This part has 5 leads (clockwise black/yellow; yellow/red; red; black and purple). Purple is split, so there are 6 leads going into a connector, including 2 purple. My existing key switch has 6 separate leads (black/yellow; purple; black; yellow/red; yellow/black and red).

Can the part I bought be modified to work with my existing wiring? If not, can you let me know the correct part number?

Do you have push to choke? Also submit a picture if you can.

Yes, push the key to choke. I cannot attach a photo, but it looks almost identical to 88-87107A10 except it has 6 wires.
