Merc 25 EH

I have a Merc 25EH, s/n 0G760719, Model 1025301VD and I need to remove the lower unit to replace the water pump impleller. Where is the break point on the shift shaft so that I can remove the lower unit.. Other similiar models have a screw clamp on the shaft and it allows you to split the shaft to allow removal of the lower unit.

The shift shaft disconnects from under the carburetor. You may need to remove the starter.
