  • 2001 90 hp compression problem

My motor started missing. I changed plugs, no help. Engine would idle but miss badly when I gave it throttle. I brought it home and did a compression test and the one and three cylinders were at 110 and the number two was only at 10.
I was going to tear it down tonight and I noticed the line from the fuel pump to the lower part of the crank case was burned off.
Any idea what would cause this? I ordered the new fittings and line, but I don't know what would cause this to melt the line and two fittings.
The line that burned off goes to the lower crank at the number two cylinder. Would this cause the loss of compression or do I have a more serious problem? I looked at the top of the piston and it looks fine. No filings on the plug. I still could have a scored piston or broken ring?
    Thanks for any ideas.

    The line that's melted?Pic?
The comp wouldn't be affected by that.
    Take the head off.
