I just purchased a '86 Whaler with a 1985 35 EL. My 13 year old son has put about 7 or 8 hours on it and it started/ran like a sewing machine. Purred like a kitten. He tried to restart it after sitting for a few hours yesterday it flooded and wouldn't restart. When cranking it over I noticed fuel squirting out "what appears to be" the float tank. No longer purring like a kitten but peeing like a dog. I unplugged the fuel line and cranked it over and it started up after about 20 seconds but as soon as I plugged the fuel line back in to the motor the fuel started squirting out again. I unplug it and it runs fine, I plug it in and the fuel keeps squirting out until I unplug it. Any ideas

The carb is probably where you see leak, need to remove and clean carbs.Regards

Look at the gaskets and the needle/seat. Verify all components are in good condition, replace if necessary.Regards
