Recently purchased a used Pontoon boat (2006 Triton with 115 Mercury 2 stroke motor. The 1st weekend I spent time cleaning up boat, somewhat getting to know it. Walked inside home for a few moments for it came a heavy rainstorm, when I returned to the boat, the motor trim was running, and all the way "upward" position. (???). I hit the "down" button and the tilt motor stopped. I disconnected battery. Over the weekend took boat out for the 1st time,,,when I hooked-up battery the tilt upward started again,,hit the down button and it stopped. Continued on with our day,,did notice later in pm that when the boat is under load (running), the motor will not tilt UP,,if boat is sitting idle, the it will tilt upward fine. Done a bit of googling and am getting the idea the pump may not be bad, along with the uptilt relay.
Gest of the long story above,,looking for a more experienced opinion. I am somewhat automotive techanical and not afraid to step off into uncharted waters, just like a little guidence in the right direction.
Thanks in advance for any and all replies
